I am extremely blessed to begin this chapter of my life as an LPC-Associate. The story behind the motivation to one began in my previous career. My journey toward becoming an LPC began with recognizing the need for emotional and spiritual support in the lives of those around me. As a teacher for 19 years, students often trusted me with their struggles, and through leading a women’s Bible study, I saw the deep need for hope, healing, and a relationship with Christ. These experiences helped me realize that I wanted to serve others in a more direct and meaningful way.

My own faith is deeply personal because I found Christ during the darkest hours of my life, and He is the reason I am here today. Having experienced His hope and faithfulness firsthand, I feel called to walk alongside others in their struggles and help them find healing, purpose, and hope.

Throughout my experience as a teacher and leading a women’s Bible study, I began to recognize a pattern in the struggles people shared with me—and even in my own life. I saw how deeply our thought patterns influence our emotions, behaviors, and the way we view ourselves and the world around us. Through my counseling education, I discovered the power of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in helping individuals identify and challenge unhealthy thought patterns and replace them with healthier, truthful thoughts. I believe we as humans naturally struggle with thoughts, the mind. I recognized even in my own journey the implications of the battlefield of the mind and what the tools and solutions the Bible gives us to help us. As a Christian, I recognize the need to renew our minds, a necessary and difficult task that has to be learned. Ultimately, I strive to combine my life experiences, professional training, and faith-informed values to help clients find hope, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.
